Hanover is the home town of the CinemaxX chain. The CinemaxX Hanover Nikolaistraße was the first multiplex cinema of the CinemaxX founder Hans-Joachim Flebbe. On March 6, 1991 the multiplex cinema opened located between the telecommunication tower and the Anzeiger-Hochhaus. The 10 halls with their 183 to 738 seats have a capacity for 3.221 visitors.

The 10 halls of the CinemaxX Hanover Raschplatz are spread over 4 floors. There is an event bar with a big separated foyer. The hotel Andor Plaza is situated in the same building as the CinemaxX. The approach by car is possible up to the entrance door. There are two parking blocks 50 meters away.
